Better Offers or what I learned in the Souks of Marrakech

As I write this post I’m in Marrakech. I had here a meeting with my business mentor and I spend now a few days with sightseeing. Marrakech is a fascinating city with huge contrasts. You learn a lot about bad offers and better offers.

The contrast between bad and better offers

When I walked through the old city, one of the first place I came along was the place Djamaa-el-Fna. On the place there are many story-tellers, snake charmers and many other people who want to sell you something. It’s an interesting  scenery on this place.

What I didn’t like there is that so many people chase after you and want to sell something. Sometimes it gets hard to move forward.

The Souks in the Medina

What I enjoyed most was the Souks. There are very narrow streets and there is one small shop after the other. You can buy lot of things which are useful but most things are cheap rubbish. I liked it to walk through the Souks. The shop owner don’t chasing after you as much as on the place Djamaa-el Fna and I could better watch what they had to offer. For me, these were the better offers because I could enjoy more the atmosphere and decide what I want to buy.
